Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Originating from Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school in order to relocate into Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. She reprised her role for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost, including the finale. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She is Faith an actress who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the attention to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Then she appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her leading performances in the romantic erotic comedy drama Secretary (2002) and the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) each of which brought her an Golden Globe Award nomination. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent received her a nomination in the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. The subsequent roles she has played include Nanny McPhee as well as The Big Bang and Hysteria. The other roles she's played included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as the role of the kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal began her career as screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021. she wrote and directed her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter.
