John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a lot of people through his music. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a native of New Mexico. musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares it is true that John Denver is unlike any other musician who represents Colorado. In 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. He has become the personification of the state to everyone around the world. When I travel, I always come across someone on the opposite end of the planet, or someone of New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes that comes out of their mouths is"Oh John Denver! Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 hit after he performed with smaller folk groups. It was co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune using Johnny Cash's songs in mind, but Denver knew from the first time he heard first versions of the song that it would be a big success. The track was released just several weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
